Liz is a wife and homeschool mom of 2 incredible kids. She married her husband, Daniel in 2012 and moved from her hometown of Fredericksburg, VA to Hampton Roads. She and her family are very active in their church community and love to serve in various ministries as well as with the local crisis pregnancy centers.

Liz decided to become a doula after the birth of her second child, a doula assisted birth. Her second birth was healing and left her with a calling to doula work. She wanted to help mothers and their families feel confident in their births, regardless of the outcome. She was trained in 2014 by an organization called ProDoula. She has since been trained by DONA International and is currently working on certifications through Madriella. Liz continues to further her education through countless in person trainings, online courses and books. Liz offers Birth Doula services as well as Childbirth Education, belly casting, baby hand/foot molds and Placenta Encapsulation.

Most birth doulas in the Hampton roads area are solo practices. Some charge additional fees after 12/18/24 hours of face to face labor support and some may call in a back up doula in order to rest. 757 Doulas work together using a unique shift schedule to provide the best support for our clients. Prior to birth, the three of us meet with the client in her home for a prenatal visit where we get to know her and her family better and get a better understanding of her expectations for her birth. When she goes into labor, 2 doulas will be on call for her and will work in 12 hour shifts. This guarantees a well rested doula who can support her and takes the possibility of a backup doula whom the birthing mother has never met before out of the equation. If two clients go into labor at once, your doula will simply stay with you rather than switch shifts.
